EDWARDIAN SPLENDOUR OVERLOOKING THE DEE ESTUARY
"a beautiful house, what you have done to the inside is really sympathetic, just adds a bit of magic dust and brings it up to date."
TV presenter and architect Charlie Luxton, speaking about Caldy House on HOMES BY THE SEA on Sunday 6th November 2016.
This Edwardian house overlooks the Dee Estuary and was very tired and dark when our clients purchased it. The brief was to open up the house to afford more light and to make the most of the wonderful views. Walls were opened up on the first floor to access the front balcony from the stairs and landing which gave the main landing light and spectacular views. Rooms on both sides were opened up through the clever use of pocket doors. Interior decorations were by Horton and Co who won an interior design award for the Music Room.
